What We Do For First Responder Famlies

KNOWLEDGE

We share helpful resources to our first responder families. We are in the process of planning educational opportunities for families to help with creating a strong foundation for financial stability, mental wellness and a strong support system

BRIDGE BUILDING

We implemented a Sensory Items Kit with the Prince William County Police Department Co-Responder Unit (currently in its trial phase) to assist our first responders when helping people with special needs with the intention to spread this program to other local departments.

ADVOCATE

We communicate with local and state representatives to advocate for our officers and their families. We do this by writing letters and emails and speaking out at the public forums.

SUPPORT

We offer support by showing up for first responders in their time of need by donating our time and money towards helping the families of first responders

GATHERINGS

We plan family days and events to help build a strong network with our police family community

We have a few products available in our Teespring store. All proceeds made from the sell of these items go towards funding for Behind the Lines causes; such as gifts for academy graduates, families in need, events for police families and Sensory Kits for co-responder units.

Sensory Items Kits

We have donated Sensory Items Kits to the Prince William County Police CRU team for their pilot program. These kits are meant to assist officers when responding to calls involving those who have special needs such as nonverbal and sensory processing disorders. 

Our goal is to provide these kits at no cost to the department and we hope to eventually provide these kits to all departments in our region. We would love to have our community help us continue to make this possible.
