Know that your life matters! We know an officers job comes with many stresses. Please get help if you start to have signs of anxiety, depression, PTSD or thoughts of suicide. 

Know you do not have to carry this heavy burden alone. We will help you find the resources you need to help you get through whatever trauma, dilemma or negative stress you may be dealing with.

Safe Call Now

Safe Call Now operates it’s a confidential call line that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Trained call takers, most of whom are current or former first responders, are there at all times to assist and support you and members of your family. Your call is always confidential.

The Wounded Blue

The Wounded Blue is a nonprofit that provides support and assistance for current and former law enforcement. They provide a National Peer Support Advocate Team for officers seeking guidance and support from highly trained former or current law enforcement to help officers  navigate their physical and emotional injuries. Survive First

Survive First is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, whose mission is to assist first responders and families who need mental health support from the impact of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, and substance abuse.

Through education and appropriate treatment planning and placement, they walk with their brothers and sisters on the road to wellness and recovery.

Chateau Recovery

Chateau Recovery offers the First Responder Program, created as a safe space for these professionals to address the physical and mental needs that many tend to ignore. This program focuses on peer support, self-care, and stress management to help build resilience while we address responses to trauma. First responders will gain comprehensive skills and resources to be able to fully reintegrate into their personal and professional lives.

Stepstone Connect

Stepstone Connect’s first responder programs help you find healthy means to cope with the symptoms of PTSD and other trauma-related injuries and they address the underlying mental health conditions caused by the exposure to traumatic events. Stepstone is secure, convenient, and confidential. They offer the following services:

  • Behind the Vest Online Counseling Services

     

    • One-on-one: Confidential, evidence-based trauma therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychological and mental injuries.

    • Groups: A process group designed for, and available only to, first responders. This group allows those suffering the effects of trauma to work with their first responder peers to better cope with the trauma-related challenges that come with the job and help each other find healthy ways to deal with the daily stressors.

    • Family: A family process group specifically designed for the loved ones of first responders.

Copline

Copline is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to serving active and retired law enforcement officers and their loved ones by providing CONFIDENTIAL 24/7 trained retired officers for callers that are dealing with various stressors law enforcement careers encounter both on and off the job. Whether it is just a “bad day” or a crisis we are here to listen. We are able to assist with a referral to a culturally competent mental health professional.

1st Help by BLUE Help

1stHelp is a searchable database dedicated to finding emotional, financial, and spiritual assistance for first responders. In addition to assisting first responders in finding crisis-specific help, it will collect data on suicide and traumatic-stress events. This information will be used to save lives and improve the quality of life for first responders. This tool will always be free to first responders, and there is no charge to register your organization to be listed in the database.

FRK9

1St Responder Canine (FRK9) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created by Founder, Roger E Giese, in 2018 that provides Service Dogs to First Responders that have incurred life altering injuries to include: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and/or physical mobility disabilities. FRK9 Service Dogs are given to qualified First Responder applicants free of cost.

M.E.G. Making Everything Good

In mid-2018, Making Everything Good (M.E.G.) was officially launched as a 501(c)(3). Their mission is to assist and support the needs of individuals, families, and organizations associated with public safety, military, veterans, and the local community.

One way they do this is through the M.E.G. Express program, where they provide transportation to veterans and first responders that are in need of treatment.
