“Department Approved fundraiser for Boulder Officer Talley. All proceeds will be presented to his family.

On March 22, 2021 Officer Eric Talley arrived on scene to an active shooter situation in Boulder Colorado. Without hesitation he heroically rushed into gunfire to help those inside. Sadly, he was fatally shot.

Officer Eric Talley leaves behind a wife and 7 children. He was the sole provider for his family. Our goal with this campaign is to help provide financial support as they navigate life without their husband/father. Officer Talley was a man of faith and one who displayed integrity and respect as a husband, father and law enforcement officer. He left his mark on so many and his loss is felt by every person who had the privilege of knowing him.

All funds raised for this campaign will go directly to Officer Talley's family through the Boulder Police Officers Association”

I received this from a Boulder LEO wife.

Please send condolence cards to Officer Talley’s family. Please share so the family is flooded w/support.

Call to action

Call To Action

CALL TO ACTION:

The 2021 General Assembly began Jan 13 and there are many bills on their way that we need to ask our legislators to amend and or remove off the floor; 2 of which will negatively affect Qualified Immunity for our officers.

In addition, our legislators seek to further lesson the penalty for assaulting a police officer while raising the penalty for damaging their equipment. This ultimately will send the message that property holds more value than human life! The irony of this is unbelievable and we must make sure our legislators make this right. Our laws should reflect that our first responders life is more valuable then the equipment they use when responding to emergencies.

We are asking you all to please email and mail our letter to your legislators with a personal note from you. To find your House of Delegates and Senator go here:
https://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov

Here is our letter we would like you all to send to your representatives:

Defend our Police

The More You Know

On December 1st at 2 pm the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) is having a public meeting. One of the topics that is being brought up by the Prince William County Strategic Plan Development Team (SPDT) is "reallocating fund from our law enforcement" aka defunding our police.

This concerns us all, not just for our officers and their families, but also for the safety of our community!

Prince William County Police Department has paved the way when it comes to community outreach and completing initiatives that help our community, such a s body cams and the co-responder team. These initiatives wouldn't have succeeded without funding! PWC Police Department has been 100% accredited by CALEA for over 30 years. They continue to improve their standards

and seek input from our community on ways to improve.

We need everyone's help to speak against the idea of defunding Prince William County Police Department.  We need your help to let Prince William County BOCS and the SPDT know that we want them to continue to support our police. It is time to defend our police!

Please email PWC BOCS and if possible come to the 2pm meeting to show your support and speak out against defunding police.  See the link below to sign-up to speak at the meeting.

Invitation to National Police Wives Association Leadership Summit

We are excited to announce that Lynn LeClair & Meghan Moore have been invited to the National Police Wives Association Leadership Summit this summer in Baton Rouge.

Please join us in Congratulations and read their BOLD statement below!!
This group will be the planning and leadership team behind the NPWA Spouses Conference in 2022.
💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤

We are Benevolent, Optimal, Loyal, Directors (BOLD). We serve our families, our spouses, and our communities by everything we aim to do. We are loyal and true to our purpose and we know we must stand by our heroes. Being BOLD is what we do every day, even if we do not realize it yet.

We don’t usually see ourselves as BOLD. However, in 2020 our world was turned upside down and we found ourselves making some bold moves. It all started with a letter to our representatives and Meg whispering a thought into Lynn’s ear, which led to many more letters being send to legislators and community leaders.

We go back a long time, our husbands have worked together for years. In the beginning we mostly saw each other at squad functions and eventually as years passed, we started running into each other more outside our spouse’s work get togethers.

In 2020 we began to see an attack on our police officers and the riots and marches began to directly impact our husbands personally. During the middle of one of our local riots Lynn and her family purchased the home right next door to Megs family. We realized at that point that we were placed together for a reason and we had an amazing opportunity to work together and fight for our husbands and their co-workers. We’re so much stronger together! We came together and formed the Behind the Line NOVA community. We began to write letters and showed up to speak to our community leaders.

We have plans to do so much more for our heroes and our communities. At times the task before us is daunting, but we’re excited to be on this journey together and do all we can to be the voice for our law enforcement officers. There are times when we waver, unsure if we should continue the course, but we know that our blue line sisters have our back and with their support we know we can continue.

Being bold is doing something despite your fears; something we tell our children every day. We have been through the storm, have the battle scars to remind us and we will continue to fight the good fight and run the race
